Mr. B
Hi my name is Mr. Browneller, I perfer that my students call me Mr. B. You can call me that or Nick. I would like to tell you some things about myself, I feel that if a parent is to feel that their child is in the right setting this is a great place to start.I would like you to first know that my journey to get to this place in my life was one that I chose to make a difficult one. I was always the leader of the wrong crowd and found myself making the bad choices. I saw life as a game and got in trouble with the law at a young age as I broke away from my parents who I love deeply. I decided to take a path filled with wrong turns and lost chances, I do not regret my avenue and hope that I will be able to pass on my knowledge and life lessons to kids that will help them understand life can turn out for the best even when things look very down.I was born in the beautiful state of Maryland and spent most of my young life there. I grew up playing outside and involved in any outdoor activity I could. I am an avid Orioles fan and a complete nut when it comes to Steelers footbal. I also enjoy the game of lacrosse and love to teach children how to play this east coast sport. As you can see I have a picture of myself in kindergarten, I want the students to know that I remember school and know the pressures they may face. I never liked school and to tell you the truth was not that great in it either. I was in performing arts high school and was in a number of productions, when sports was not an issue.
After graduation I spent some time in the United States Navy and got a good look at team building but my passion for as long as I can remember was cooking. I have spent over 15 years in the service industry. I have had every job there is from a bus boy to an owner and manager. I tell you this becuase I have learned that a good kitchen produces excellent food when it works as a whole. I have traveled all over the United States because I feel it is important to know what is in our own backyards. I love to show kids that while education is of the upmost importance they can find it almost anywhere.
I love to work hand and hand with parents on developing the best stratagy for their child and hope to do that with everyone. I love to have an open door and ear policy where the students can feel free to open up their imagination and tell me whats on their minds.
I expect the children to be respectful to the rules of the classroom which they will help establish with a little help from mom and dad. I will teach the students to make their own choices in the right direction and know that we will never move forward in our lessons until we as a whole feel comfortable with our understanding. I am about helping the community and when students understand that they are just as much of that community as you or me they will be able to help make a difference. I invite you to look at some of the sites I have posted to help you see who I am and give you a place to find things from jokes to cooking. I look forward to working with you and your children in the coming year and hope that you will use this blog as a way to talk to me and check it daily for things to help you help your child. Thank you.
